Climate changing botanic gardens

Today's talking topic was the NSW Seedbank at Mount Annan Botanic Garden, and its 5 million seeds. Well, actually, how it is part of a national network of seedbanks and this network is part of a new Climate Change strategy prepared by the capital city botanic gardens in Australia. I spoke to Richard Glover on 702 AM Drive about the history of our seedbank, why we need it (an insurance policy against the loss of species and the source of seeds to restore vegetation), and why we have a few seeds orbiting around earth in a Space Station - a story for another time.
